“Broken” Family Dorms

Volume 7/ Issue 2

February 2010

This winter God opened the door for us to gain access to a new dorm which just recently opened.

This dorm is actually government housing  for struggling single parents, or “broken” families, with young children who have no where else to go. Most were on the streets before they came to the dorms.

These families struggle each day just to have their most basic needs met; food, shelter, and clothing.

Because of your generosity and faithful giving we were able to bless these families with a Bible, much needed clothing, shoes, and for their children.

We plan to continue to minister in these dorms, share the love of Christ, and make sure they each know how precious they are in God’s eyes; that they can have “true hope” in Christ Jesus!

May you be abundantly blessed!

CHRISTMAS 2010

ISSUE 1

A MESSAGE FROM MAX

Happy New 2010 Year!

May God Bless You Even More This Year!

We have had an awesome Christmas, which in Ukraine is on January 7th!

God had given me the idea to gather lots of orphans in one place for a Christmas celebration.  At first I thought it was just me and not God speaking to me, but then He said it a few more times:  “I want you to have as many orphans as you can find in one place for Christmas!”  I asked the Lord, “Why?”  He told me, “You just do it and you’ll see!” I began to get things ready.  During the process of preparation, I realized that I simply could not do it, and TRUE HOPE MINISTRIES could not do it.

Then, two weeks before the Christmas event, we did not have any money for the celebration at all.  We needed $4,000 at the very least, but nothing was coming in towards it.  (In the end we had more than enough due to a miracle from God!!!)

I prayed again that God would help me.  I knew He would have to provide if He wanted the celebration to happen.

We planned to have it at our Church of Praise because the building can hold 800 people.   One of the obstacles that I was experiencing was that at this time a quarrantine had been put in place due to widespread sickness.  I thought that if we had at least 400 children show up that it would be awesome, but we didn’t know if anyone would show up at all.  Kids were invited from the streets and orphanages, and still only 280 kids were scheduled to show up.  I thought, “Well, this is the last time I’m doing this!”   Then one of the orphanages called and cancelled, bringing the number down to 240 kids, but God wasn’t through just yet!

The program began as scheduled at 3 pm, and the church was full – all 800 seats taken!  Kids were standing all around, and we gave out 800 gifts that day!  THAT IS GOD’S HAND! In addition to the gifts given to every orphan we also were able to give 325 gifts to grandparents, some of whom were not from our church, or who never get out because they just can’t walk.  It was a miracle! Some of the orphans were crying because they had never received a Christmas gift before.  Each one got a gift and candies, and afterwards there were 9 boxes of candy left over! Just like when Jesus blessed the loaves and fishes.  GOD IS SO GOOD TO HIS CHILDREN!!!MAx on Stage
